FOTH Stipend Applications Due Friday!

This is a friendly reminder that the FOTH stipend applications are due this Friday, January 7. If you have not already done so, please encourage your respective members to apply soon.

Foundations on the Hill Stipend Opportunity – Application Deadline this Friday, January 7!

Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) is a two-day legislative and public policy event in Washington, D.C., for foundation staff members and philanthropic leaders. It is co-hosted by the Council on Foundations and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers. FOTH offers a unique opportunity for grantmakers to demonstrate the power of philanthropy and its impact and reach on society.

This year’s event is more important than ever. We now have 110 new members of Congress and over 1, 000 new Hill staffers on Capitol Hill. As a sector our immediate task is to educate the new congressional class about philanthropy, its role in society, and the implications of tax policy as lawmakers develop budget deficit reduction proposals to help get the economy back on track.

The Council and the Forum recognize that as the country continues its recovery from the recent recession, some of you are doing the same and therefore face budget cuts. In light of this, the Council and the Forum are happy to offer assistance through the FOTH Stipend Program to foundations and regional associations interested in attending the event.

Intended to promote the participation of foundation representatives at FOTH, recipients of the stipend will have their FOTH registration fee of $125 waived. Additionally, the stipend will cover travel (ground and air) and hotel costs associated with the event for stipend recipients. Learn more, at
